GO Organics Peace International is a community-focused initiative based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, dedicated to cultivating resilient people, equitable economies, and regenerative ecosystems, utilising the core ethics of permaculture. Our work directly addresses the vulnerabilities that lead to poverty and conflict by fostering self-reliance among small-scale farming communities in Southeast Asia.
Our efforts are centered at the The Conscious Living Center in Hangdong, Chiang Mai, which serves as our hub for education, research, and community collaboration.
People Care: Empowering Farmers
We prioritize the well-being and stability of the farmer families and their local communities. This is achieved by:
- Providing hands-on permaculture training and localized, cost-effective technology (like solar dryers and cold storage) that directly increases the farmers' productivity and control over their harvest.
- Fostering strong, cooperative social networks that encourage knowledge-sharing, collective decision-making, and dignity in their essential work.
Earth Care: Regenerative Stewardship
We design and implement organic agricultural systems that actively regenerate the environment rather than deplete it. This commitment to Earth Care involves:
- Promoting biodiversity, water conservation, and soil health through regenerative practices, ensuring the natural resource base can sustain the community indefinitely.
- Moving away from chemical-dependent farming to create healthy, pollution-free local environments that support long-term community health.
Fair Share: Equitable Economic Stability
We interrupt the cycle of exploitation by creating direct and transparent economic structures that benefit the producers first. Our Fair Share model ensures justice by:
- Developing innovative supply chain technologies (like traceable QR codes) that guarantee transparency and allow farmers to capture more of the market value.
- Focusing on micro-financing and guaranteed market access to build consistent, sustainable income, transforming economic precarity into foundational security.
